On thursday we left Lynn and Peters farm. The goodbyes were quite festvive this time as we got treated to dinner in a very nice japanese restaurant. The cottage we stayed in can be booked by anyone who’d like to stay on their beautiful property. If you are looking for a time out…. that’s the go to place. Their own produce of olive oil called „Chapel Grove“ is pretty sweet too. http://www.chapelgrove.co.nz/
We continued our journey down south to Matamata were we stayed 2 nights in the beautiful Horse and Jockey Inn. www.horseandjockeyinn.co.nz/
Our trip of the day was a destination we both looked forward to – Hobbiton. The movie set of Lord of the Rings. The pricey fee of 66$ was worth every cent as you can see on the pictures. This place is not just for Lord of the Rings fans. A great 2 hour tour with a great guide and just a side note: the Green Dragon – the pub of Hobbiton is currently being rebuilt and set up to be able to host events, functions and hold your breath: weddings. A little too late for us… but maybe someone else is interested.
Tomorrow we will drive to the next farm. To new adventures.
