Goodbye country life! Vom Aufbau her fast wie Stuttgart.
Conny:
– das erste Mal in Neuseeland ausreiten – danke Sue!
– Hobbingen bei Matamata
– die Glow Worm Cave bei Kawakawa
Claus:
– Waimamaku Beach
Prost!

Goodbye country life! We have been in Wellington since Monday. New Zealand’s capial has a lot to offer. Shops, bars, ocean, hills and lots of houses. With all the hills surrounding it reminds us of Stuttgart. We have always been warned about this place having bad weather and a lot of wind. But boy have they been proven wrong! We had the sunniest week ever. There is a saying: You can’t beat Wellington on a fine day! And all we can do is agree. We spent the week with Cable Cars, Botanic Gardens, Weta Cave, Lord of the Rings tours and scenic lookouts and stayed with Maureen in her beautiful house in the hills of Wellington. We hereby declare our love for Wellington. Tomorrow we board the interislander and are off to the South Island. We are so excited!
It is so unbelievable that already half a year has passed since we have come to New Zealand. Amazing how time can fly. We have been on fantastic adventures and have met even more fantastic people. We are looking forward to the next 6 months. We have often been asked what our favorite bits have been so far and usually we can’t answer because we can’t settle for an answer. But with this special occasion we each picked our 3 favorite experiences so far:
Conny:
– first ride on a horse in New Zealand – thanks Sue!
– Hobbiton in Matamata
– the Glow Worm Cave in Kawakawa
Claus
– Waimamaku Beach
– 1 week of fishing at Mike and Claire’s (including the first Snapper)
– feeding the deer at Jim and Rachel’s
To the next 6 months. Cheers!
